Featuring Peter Ellingson on piano, Charlie Mertens on bass, and Manuel Lopez on drums.  Since its birth in April of 2007, the Manuel Lopez Latin Jazz Trio has been recognized as “one of the top Latin Ensembles” in Colorado. The band was formed by Manuel Lopez as an outlet to perform Afro-Cuban music. Some of their influences are Cachao, Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Chucho Valdez/Irakere, The Fort Apache Band, Paquito D’Rivera, Michel Camilo, and Oscar Hernandez. The trio is continually seeking opportunities to keep their audiences listening and dancing.
